Creating Connections for a Collaborative Community

At AIR, and within audio at large, we envision a future where each of us has the resources, support, and access to opportunity needed to stay the course of our respective creative paths. This year, New Voices will bring together a cohort of emerging, underrepresented audio makers to engage in critical dialogue about their creative journeys and support them as they chart their own paths.

The 5-month program will run virtually from August to December 2024 to best support our participants' needs throughout the U.S.

Sixteen selected participants will receive mentorship, professional development support, online workshops with leaders in the industry and a $1,000 stipend. Each participant will be thoughtfully matched with a mentor they will meet with each month during the program. A curated series of compelling speakers will present on various topic, providing you with a toolkit of versatile skills to adapt to a changing media landscape, while reimagining more collaborative career paths.

New Voices is as much about you and the community you’ll build within your cohort. It’s important to be open and willing to put yourself out there in a group setting and have the time to meet with other cohort members 1 on 1.

You will be guided by New Voices Captain Ray Pang (NV ‘21) and AIR’s New Voices Program Manager Lynn Casper. Upon completing the program, you will become part of the New Voices alumni network.
